Applications
Ideally suited for use on industrial
buildings, schools, hospitals and other commercial construction. Petersen
Aluminum copings are designed to seal the parapet and eliminate all exposed
fasteners while reducing installation costs.
PAC-Continuous Cleat Coping
The innovative design of the continuous cleat permits the installation of
a sloped coping cap over extra wide walls. The support of the cleat eliminates
sagging, which can induce ponding and the possibility of leaks. For further
weather tightness, neoprene strips are factory applied to each hold down cleat
(see illustration).
Factory-supplied fasteners accompany each coping order for the attachment
of the cleats to the wood nailer. Field-crimping on the inside leg of the
coping to the inside hold down cleat tcompletes the installation.
FM Approved
The Continuous cleat coping system has been Factory Mutual tested for wind
uplift and outward exposure. This system achieves enhanced ratings up to FM-I80
(see wind uplift chart). Consult factory for installation guidelines.
